Initiatives for the public: tools of astronomy and astrophysics observatory, Museum of media room Pennar station
TheAsiago Astrophysical Observatory is ready to open the doors, as every year, the public astronomy enthusiast!
There are many, in fact, the summer 2017 initiatives planned at the station of Pennar, starting from 11 July until the last date of 10 September.
Weekly appointments to educational background, with guided visits to the Observatory, the astronomy instrument Museum and the multimedia room, will be on the agenda, ready to discover the wonders of the night sky will bring.
Please note that for participation in the events of the Observatory is NEEDED

Every Tuesday and Thursday
Hours 21.00
• Jupiter, Saturn and their moons from 11 to 20 April;
• The international space station from 25 July to 11 August;
• Exoplanets: hunting for a new Earth from 17 August to 8 September.
Theme and lesson observation remotely with the Schmidt telescope (in case of clear skies). Duration: 90 minuti.*
Every Wednesday
Hours 16.00
Astrotombola
Meeting particularly suitable for children (6-11 years). There will be a tombola astronomical theme during which will be commented on the images of planets, nebulae, galaxies, telescopes ... associated with the numbers drawn.
Even the rewards will be astronomical in nature! At the end of the visit will be launched a small rocket in baking soda and vinegar.
Duration: 90 minutes.
Children must be accompanied by at least one adult over 18 years of age. Reduced ticket for all: €5.
Every Thursday
Hours 16.00
The colored stars and optional visit to muse.
Laboratory of spectroscopy, suitable for teens and adults, during which you will learn how does the study of the stars through their colors, using various types of lamps and by unravelling it colors with special glasses.

Visit to the Museo degli Strumenti dell'astronomia (MUSE) (reservation required)-max 15 people; recommended age: minimum 14 years
Duration: 2 hours. *
Every Friday
10.30 a.m.
We observe our star.
Meeting for observation to the eyepiece of the spots and solar prominences (when clear skies) and lesson on the Sun (characteristics and evolution). Duration: 90 minuti.*
Every Saturday: from 20 July to 10 September
Hours 16.00
Guided tour of the MUseo degli Strumenti dell'astronomia-MUSE where is gathering the scientific instruments used at the Asiago Observatory from 40 to 70 years.
Visit to the telescope Galileo.
Technical lesson at least 14 years boys encouraged. Maximum 15 people per group.
Duration: one hour. Reduced ticket for all: €5
* Saturday, 5 August and Saturday 2 September the visit is postponed at 19:30.
Every Sunday: from 20 July to 10 September

Guided tour of the Museo degli Strumenti dell'astronomia-MUSE
You can admire apparatus used since 40 years ' 70. Duration: 60 minutes.
Recommended age: at least 14 years. Reduced ticket for all: €5

The Moon, Saturn and its moons
Visit in conjunction with the Highland Guides ().
Other events in conjunction with guides on July 15 and Saturday June 24 Plateau, Saturday 22 August 12 and Saturday, July 24, Saturday August.
During these activities, the Asiago Astrophysical Observatory (Estación del Pennar) will be the culmination of a Trek along with naturalist guides.
Wednesday, July 12 and 19, 9 and 16 August

Night by astronomer Galileo telescope
The meeting is to use the telescope Galileo, in its normal scientific usage. Then there will be direct observation of the sky, but you will acquire digital data (spectroscopy), explaining their usage and the astronomical meaning.
(maximum 30 people per shift). Lesson 16 years boys at least preferred technique.
Maximum duration: 2 hours. Ticket: €10; reduced (employees and students UNIPD and OAPD): 5 euros.
Saturday, July 22 and 29 and 12, 19 and 26 August

Visit to the Museo degli Strumenti dell'astronomia (MUSE)

30 September 2017
Celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the inauguration of the Asiago Observatory
TELESCOPE COPERNICUS, HOME TO CIMA EKAR
The "Copernicus" is the largest optical telescope on the national soil. The dome is located at Cima Ekar, 15 minutes drive from the Centre of Asiago (road to Bassano). Making only daytime visits.
Every Tuesday
10.30 a.m.
Guided tour of the facility and the telescope Copernicus of Cima Ekar.
Duration: 45 minutes. Reduced ticket for all: 5 euros.

* Ticket: €10-reduced: €5 (for children 6-11 years, employees and students UNIPD and OAPD).
For those who will participate in two or more visits, only the first entry will be at full price.
We recommend warm clothing and to have a front panel.
For groups of 10 people it is possible to agree with the astronomer visiting at other times
