Mountain race "Strafexpedition" on the Asiago plateau-Sunday 2 September 2018
Sunday 2 September 2018, starting and finishing in the Centre of Asiago, there will be a 5ª Strafexpedition, a mountain race on three routes of 20, 35 and 50 km organized by Common 7 Sports with slices Asiago plateau Mountain, mountain rescue, civil protection Asiago and Roana, Associazione Carabinieri and various local voluntary groups.
The path will have a positive gain of 2500 meters and will lead athletes to take the most significant sites in the history of the great war, as Vezzena, Mandriolo, larches, Portule, Top 12, Ortigara, Zebio, up upon arrival in the central square of Asiago.
THE "REAL" STRAFEXPEDITION
Between May and June of 1916 on plateaus vicentini austro-Hungarian army and the Italian fought the largest battle ever fought mountain, known officially by the name of Battle of the Highlands. The Italians called it Strafexpedition, from German punitive expedition. At the end of the clash between the two armies were losses of over 230,000 men.
For over three years the plateaus of Vicenza were the scene of bloody battles, and today the remnants of that conflict are visible everywhere. Trails, stalking, garrisons and barracks are some of the testimonials left by the great war on the Asiago plateau 7 Comuni.

PARTICIPATION
Can subscribe to "STRAFEXPEDITION" all athletes with a valid medical certificate
MANDATORY EQUIPMENT for all distances
– windproof jacket and long sleeve Jersey
– supply of water (1 liter in amount of at least 50 KM.)

Athletes will be required to follow the path marked with the exhaustive webbing/balise Orange and custom signage.
One or more checkpoints will be set up, to which each athlete must pass, disqualification.

DISQUALIFICATIONS
An athlete will be disqualified if even one of the following reasons:
– Cutting the path reported or no transition to a control point;
– Abandonment of any waste on the path outside the supply areas;
– Insults or threats to organizers or volunteers;
– Use of means of transport in the race;
– Failure to aid a competitor in trouble.
IMAGE RIGHTS
Each participant, upon registration, authorize the Organizing Committee to the free use of any still image and moving it to retract during participation in the 5 ^ "STRAFEXPEDITION"
GENERALS
The race will take place in any weather condition. Organizing Committee will be entitled to sole vary, even at the last moment, the path in response to possible risks that may run in the event of adverse weather conditions.
Upon registration, each competitor accepts that regulation in all its parts, including any changes that may take place, and that in any case will be reported on the site
