Destination: Piana di Vezzena
In a suggestive atmosphere that recalls nights of other times, it makes our way with the dim light of the lanterns.
Crossing this borderland, the Piana di Vezzena, the pastures and the snowy mountain woods will be the setting for this snowshoe hike that allows us to relive the experience of past people: herdsmen, soldiers, smugglers or simple lovers who had to move at night without the comforts of our days that we often take for granted.
At the end of the excursion it will be possible to stop for dinner to taste a typical menu at Malga Basson di Sotto:
- mountain soup
- mixed cutting board of Malga products
- sweet tastings
- water and wine
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route is a ring, does not present particular technical difficulties and there are no exposed sections. It develops between mountain paths and dirt roads. The difference in height uphill is less than 200 m.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water or hot tea for the duration of the excursion, a small snack such as dried fruit, cap, gloves.
COST: 20€ for the guided candlelight excursion per person, 10€ for children under 15 years.
Possible snowshoes and poles rental: € 10 per person.
If there is not enough snow for snowshoeing, it will be a walk.
DINNER COST: € 20 for the typical dinner at Malga Basson di Sotto, variations to the menu indicated above are to be considered not included.
