"Aperitif with the author" in Asiago, cultural meetings organized by the Giunti al Punto Library
Thursday, August 26, 2021 will be held a new meeting of the literary review"Aperitif with the author",organized by the library Giunti al Punto di Asiago.
Alessandro Sallusti and Luca Palamara will present to the public the book "Il sistema - Potere, politica, affari: storia segreta della magistratura italiana".
The meeting will be held as always in Piazza Carli at the piazzale del Duomo,in the center of Asiago,at 5.30pm.

October 2020: for the first time in the history of the judiciary a former member of the CSM is removed from the judicial order.
Who is Luca Palamara? A brilliant career started with the presidency of the National Association of Magistrates at thirty-nine years old. At forty-five he was elected to the Superior Council of the Magistracy and, at the head of the center current, Unity for the Constitution, he helped to determine the decisions of the self-governing body of the judges. At the end of May 2019, accused of undue relations with entrepreneurs and politicians and of having worked illegally to direct assignments and appointments, he became the emblem of judicial malpractice.
Pressed by the questions of Alessandro Sallusti, in this book Palamara tells what is the "System" that has heavily influenced Italian politics.
"All those – fellow magistrates, prominent political leaders and men of the institutions, many of whom are still in their place – who participated with me in weaving this canvas were fully aware of what was happening."
The "System" is the power of the judiciary, which cannot be scratched: all those who have tried are shot down by blows of sentences, or perhaps through a skilled sniper who, on the eve of an appointment, releases news or interceptions on the private life or dangerous ties of a magistrate. This is what also happens in Palamara: at the moment of his greatest triumph (the election of his candidates to the two highest offices of the Court of Cassation), his fall begins.
"I do not want to carry secrets in the grave, I owe it to the many magistrates who have nothing to do with these stories." The secrets are all in this book.
Authors
Alessandro Sallusti,journalist since 1981, worked for "il Giornale" by Indro Montanelli, then for "Il Messaggero", "Avvenire" and for "Corriere della Sera". He directed "Libero" and since 2010 he has been editor-in-chief of the "Giornale".
Luca Palamara was the youngest president of the National Association of Magistrates from 2008 to 2012. A member of the CSM from 2014 to 2018, in October 2020 he was removed from the judicial order following an investigation into his role as mediator within the system of currents of the judiciary. He appealed against this decision.
