The exhibition "Aperitif with author" of Asiago port on the main stage a book about the generation wiped out by the events of the great war.

LOST GENERATION
In 1933 Vera Brittain publishes "Testament of Youth": through its own history, vivid and heartfelt, collects its memories and leaves as testament and tribute to a lost generation, wiped out by the great war, this book immediately acclaimed as a classic of English literature.

In 1914 Real looks to youth. Is brilliant, unconventional and determined to change a fate of gentile wife and patient mother, becoming one of the first women accepted into a selective college in Oxford.
Many of his novels are based on real experiences and real people. In this regard the novel Honourable Estate (1936) is more than a memoir.
His vocation to pacifism comes to prominence during the Second World War, when he writes Letters to Peacelovers. Was accused when in 1944 he wrote Massacre by Bombing where complained about carpet bombing on German cities.
The writer often visited the British military cemetery located in Louvencourt, in France, where lies the tomb of Roland's boyfriend.
The real tragedy for Vera Brittain was the death of his brother Edward, in the great war, that the forced to scatter their ashes on the modest Tomb where lies in the small British cemetery of Grandeuron theAsiago plateau and seven municipalities. This happened in 1970, when Vera died at the age of 76 years and daughter decided to make his request with great emotion.
