The climb of the Asiago Civic Tower with the World Champion of Sport Climbing and Ice Climbing Jenny Lavarda

On Sunday, August 11, 2019 everyone with their heads up to the Civic Tower of Asiago: Jenny Lavarda, world champion of Sport Climbing and Ice Climbing, will perform for the second time in the climbed to the municipal belltower.

From 5.30pm, the champion of Marostica will try her hand at an adrenaline-pumping climb to the civic tower of Asiago,under the watchful eyes of tourists and passers-by who will surely stop with their heart in their throats for this particular event.

At the end of the climb, Jenny will stop for a whileto answer questions from the public and talk about climbing, a sport that will be recognized as an Olympic by Tokyo 2020.

The event is organized by theASD X Fighter with the patronage of the City of Asiago.

JENNY LAVARDA

Passionate about the mountains since she was a child, she climbed her first via ferrata at the age of six and started climbing at seven with her parents. She is the first Italian woman to have climbed an 8c, Claudio Caffè in Arco.

Since 1998 she is the dominator of the Italian Leading Climbing Championship and the best Italian athlete in international competitions. In 2000, when she was sixteen, she began to participate in the World Cup in both boulderand and difficulty.

His best stage results in the World Cup are three thirdplaces, all in 2004: twice in the boulder and once in the difficulty.

His best finish was seventh place in the 2004 and 2005 World Cup of Climbing in the lead and sixth place in the 2004 World Cup of Climbing in boulder.

Her most spectacular feats saw the champion climb the Mole Antonelliana,a feat that Jenny completed, in 2010, in just five minutes, and climb the 12 floors of the third tower of SanSiro.
