Asiago Festival, Music Festival from 6 to August 19, 2013
From Tuesday 6 until Monday, August 19 to Asiago is 47 ^ Edition of asiagofestival, music festival with numerous events and prominent artists. Admission is free.
THE ASIAGOFESTIVAL
Asiagofestival is a classical music festival founded in 1966 by the organist and Maestro Benetti Barcau Fiorella.
The Festival is held annually on theAsiago plateau (province of Vicenza) between late July and the first 20 days of August.
Since the death of the founder, the Festival is organized by the Association Amici della Musica di Asiago "Fiorella Benetti Barcau", of which he is President Roberto Barcau.
Since 1992 the artistic director is Maestro Julius Berger, cellist of the internationally recognized.
By 2011 the organizational direction is entrusted to Alberto Barcau.
The festival was founded originally as organ festival. Over the years, however, the musical offering has expanded considerably to include a rich repertoire of solo music, Chamber, orchestral and choral conducting.
Note featuring the festival is attended every year by a guest composer composes awork commissioned by the Festival runs in world première at the Festival itself.
