" black and white Notes " review of silent films with live music, Cesuna di Roana, August 22, 2012
"Black and white Notes" is a small review of silent films born from the collaboration between Gallium Film Festival and Culture & music.
The intent is to repropose to the modern audience the magic of black and white filmwithout sound but accompanied by music performed live.
During the second round, scheduled for the hours 21.00 of August 22, 2012 at the Palladium Theater Cinema of Cesuna, will be projected the restored version of the film "the island of sin" (The Manxman), a film that Alfred Hitchcock filmed in 1929.
The musical accompaniment is entrusted to the young pianist Alberto AlassioCuneo, graduated from the Conservatory "g. Verdi" in Turin and a graduate of the Department of Arts, music and entertainment of the University of Turin.
Alassio has multiple musical interests ranging from classical music to electronic music, passing through black music, jazz and blues. He collaborated on music for films and staged several plays both as a performer and composer.
