The famous journalist and writer, in fact, will be to Asiago to present his book "Gentlemen you change. Travelling on trains of life".
The meeting, organized in collaboration with the Library reached the point for the exhibition "Aperitif with author", will begin at 17.30at the central stage. In case of bad weather, however, will be held at the Teatro Millepini.
Gentlemen you change
The most fascinating journey is a trip to ancient, gradual, private and social together: the train ride.
The trains are theatres, Café bazar. The only talk-show that knows no crisis is what is replicated every day on the Rails. Trust generates freedom: she put together the case, we will share a station. Trains help to think.
All great journeys – from Catholic pilgrimages to the Grand Tour, the first departure with friends at their honeymoon – they are, after all, a discovery: the view that interests us is within us. The train exempts from liability, allows you to remain passive without feeling lazy. We can work and rest. We can talk, when we tired of reading. And dreaming, when we are tired of talk. The author has a name for this: therapy.
After the bestselling life is a journey Beppe Severgnini leads us through the United States from the Atlantic to the Pacific (two times, passing from the North and South); follows the rails from Moscow to Lisbon; size Europe vertically (from Berlin to Palermo) and Australia horizontally (from Sydney to Perth). Among all the most exciting and informative journey confesses – is what opens the volume. The US crossed twentysomething son, Antonio. From Washington DC to Washington State, 8,000 km by train, by bus, by car. "A son, a father and America: and no other disturbing."
