Historically themed meeting about the battle of Caporetto and the great war-Altopiano di Asiago-30 December 2017
Saturday 30 June 2017, at 17.00, at the Council Chamber of Asiago, will hold a Conference on the theme "Caporetto from winning side: truths, half truths and lies", during which the history of Istrevi Paul Pozzato will try to shed some light on that tragic conflict, joined the common language as a synonym for the disastrous defeat.
During the meeting, the expert in particular analyse the battle from the perspective of the winners, giving a reading "different" from those events that, in 1917, marked the history of the great war.
PAOLO POZZATO
Born in 1958, Paolo Pozzato graduated in philosophy at the University of Padua. For years dealing with military history studies concerning the great war. Has contributed significantly to the study of the "Sassari" Brigade and to the knowledge and appreciation of Austrian films of the war.
