
On Friday, April 25, 2025, the 80th anniversary of the Liberation from Nazi-fascism is celebrated in Asiago with a commemoration ceremony in the renewed commitment to strengthen the ideals of freedom, justice and democracy day after day in memory of all those who sacrificed themselves to make us free, giving their lives.
Italy, which emerged from the tragic events of the last war, is a democracy in which freedom is an indispensable value and a wealth to be passed on to future generations.
PROGRAM OF THE CEREMONY OF APRIL 25, 2025 IN ASIAGO
9:30 a.m .
- Meeting at the Loggia dei Caduti in Piazza Carli
- Wreath laying
- Speech by the Mayor
- Parade start
9:50 a.m.
- Laying of flowers at the tombstone of Antonio Gnatta in Piazzetta del Partigiano
10:15 a.m.
- Holy Mass at the Church of Santa Maria Liberatrice at the Park of Remembrance and deposition of wreaths
11:45 a.m.
- Wreath laying at the Municipal Cemetery and tribute to the Fallen
In case of bad weather, the Holy Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of San Matteo.
The ceremony will be accompanied by the "Vincenzo Bellini" Band of Povolaro.
Citizens are asked to display the tricolor by sharing the memory of the Asiago Fallen for freedom.
