New year's concert with the singers of Madd and Madd Sinfonietta in Asiago
Sunday 7 January 2018, Asiago, there will be the inaugural concert "Christmas, between tradition and modernity".
To perform, at the Church of San Rocco, the singers of Madd and Madd Sinfonietta, which with their repertoire of traditional and contemporary Christmas carols will begin in the best possible way to 2018, with the hope that the new year brings good luck and prosperity to all those present.
The concert, which will be directed by Michael Jeremiah, will start at 16.00 hours and will be for free.
An opportunity to meet and Exchange new year's greetings, aprofittandone even to make a final round between the stalls of the of Asiago in their last opening day.
THE SINGERS OF MAROSTICA
The choir was founded in 1970 as a youth group and develops his musical experience through the study and practice of the various forms of choral music, from Gregorian chant, sacred and secular polyphony, the repertoire traditional popular Italian and international copyright and, in collaboration with instrumental and chamber groups. The activities promoted at regional and local level is to extend the taste and musical sensibility to a growing audience, as well as promote the artistic development of each Chorister and of the group as a whole. The choir participates in numerous meetings, concerts and festivals in Italy and abroad, getting anywhere critical hits and flattering.
Collaborates with leading national and international cultural institutions and Associations in the organisation of major musical events in Marostica and the land. It is worth mentioning the decades collaboration with the Junges Musikpodium Dresden – Venedig - musical encounters Dresden – Venice, founded in 1999 from an original idea by Ulrike Gondolatsch, aiming to revive the historical reports that the Court of Dresden had in the 17th and 18th centuries with the Venetian musical culture. As a result of this initiative the best students of the most important Musical Institutions in Saxony, of the Tre Venezie, but also of France, Lithuania and other Eastern European regions can participate annually at a postgraduate workshop musical and vocal Baroque practice of the Venetian school, taught by great teachers, as Claudio Scimone, Andrea Marcon, Giuliano Carmignola, Ivano Zafari and Stefano Montanari.
I Cantori di Marostica operate firsthand and in collaboration with the municipal administration and other cultural institutions to conduct artistic towns and organisation of Autunno Musicale and other important events, as "Madd plays and sings ai Carmini", "Christmas with us" and "Sunday concerts", under which participating resorts and renowned national and international musicians.
Of particular note is the collaboration with the soprano Cecilia Gasdia and the Musicians of the Castle.
The choir has been a member of theASAC Veneto and FENIARCO.
