Saturday, 7 December at the Duomo San Matteo di Asiago from 21.00 hours will take place the concert of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Conservatorio di Vicenza "a. Pedrollo", with Claudia Madrid as Director, Giovanni Feltrin as organist and Henry Zahedi as artistic director. Admission is free.

ORCHESTRA SINFONICA DI VICENZA

The Symphony Orchestra orchestral class of the Conservatory of Vicenza is today one of the leading educational and artistic scene.
It is directed by maestro Claudio permanently Martignon, who with great commitment and patience was unable to obtain results very flattering for a team of young students, and that alternate, for the purposes of studies over the years.
The orchestra consists of approximately fifty students, without the help of teachers or other musicians outside of the Conservatory.
Regularly holds concerts, at least a dozen per year, in the province of Vicenza and in other provinces of Veneto, performing for theatres and concert Organisations even at a professional level.

Programs that the orchestra faces ranging from Haydn, with his symphonies, Mozart, Beethoven and the classical period, however more recent compositions (the orchestra performed in 2006 the eighth and in 2012 the Dvorak's Ninth Symphony) and contemporary authors.
He regularly collaborates with renowned soloists, for the production of important pages of the Symphonic repertoire, having made several times the triple concerto (with the first parts of the orchestra di Santa Cecilia in Rome) and Beethoven's piano concertos, piano concertos by Chopin, Mozart's violin concertos of Paganini's first concerto, Liszt's Totentanz. The orchestra performed one-week internships with master Leon Spierer, former concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

The orchestra has participated three times in 2004, 2007, 2009 at the international competition for youth orchestras "Victor de Sabata" was always in first place.
In the 2012-2013 academic year, the orchestra performed for the first time an opera by Donizetti in stage shape at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza.
In the future the orchestra has a programming already throughout the 2014 with concerts and recordings, even compositions by modern authors.

GIOVANNI FELTRIN (VENEZIA) • ORGAN

He graduated with full marks in Organ and liturgical music, and Prepolyphonic with honors in Piano under the guidance of Giuseppe De Donà, Pellegrino Ernetti and Micaela Mingardo. He attended masterclasses in Italy and abroad with t. Koopman, m. Radulescu, l.f. Tagliavini, j. Langlais, a. and g. Bovet Bags, and then continued his organ studies with Daniel Roth in Paris. Winner of four National organ Competitions, won the second prize at the International competition of 5 Manchester, first Italian graduated in a British competition.

Has concertized at prestigious festivals in many European countries, both as a soloist and collaborating on organ and harpsichord with several chamber ensembles and orchestras (Orchestra da camera di Padova e del Veneto, Teatro dell'Opera of Genova, Orchestra e Coro del Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Veneto Philharmonic, Gli Archi Italiani, I Solisti Veneti) and choral groups. He performed solo works for organ and orchestra of Handel, Bach, Vivaldi, Brixi, Mozart, Salieri, Saint-Saëns, Guilmant, Rheinberger, Hindemith, Poulenc and Heiller. Member of jury in organ and choral competitions, held seminars on interpretation of 20th century authors on behalf of various Italian cultural institutes.

Is active as a pianist in the field of gender sacred Lieder, proposing the production of authors like Mendelssohn, Brahms, Dvoák, Respighi, Wolf. As a composer he published music for organ and chorus (edizioni Carrara, San Liberale, LDC) and was premiered at 1° Sacred Composition contest organized by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Treviso. He represented short works for voice, organ and images intended to illustrate the young, caring for the Italian version of "Mr. Majeika and the magic organ" by Bob Chilcott and "Cocoricorgue" by Guy Bovet. He teaches at the Conservatory of Rovigo, and teacher of organ and improvisation to the degree courses of 1° and 2° level; from 1990 is the owner of the Cathedral of Treviso, at the console of the great organ "Kuhn-Hradetzky" built in the Jubilee year 2000. In his discography wide space is dedicated to 20th-century repertoire for organ solo and in ensemble, with several early recordings.
