In May 2022 at the MECF, Museo Etnografico Comunità Di Foza, there will be a course for children entitled "BETWEEN ART AND IMAGE - ARTISTIC INTERPRETATIONS OF CHILDREN DISCOVERING THE PRIVATE COLLECTION OF MAURO CAPPELLARI PIEROTO" by the museum educator Lucia Spolverini.

This course is presented as a "method of learning and studying different painting techniques used over the centuries by painters and artists, the types of colors (natural pigments, artisanal and industrial colors) of the color backgrounds, the methods of using colors, how these have been spread on the basic supports, how the pictorial space adapted to the figures and all those artist secrets to compose a work. Observe lines, shapes, color combinations to find the right figurative balance and subjectively reproduce an artistic interpretation by each child. A course that will become a real exhibition created and set up by the children themselves at the Mecf!

The Mecf in Foza offers a relaxed, friendly environment, where creative notions are presented and learned in a completely simple and pleasant way.

When we think of the word "educational game" we associate it with an activity of leisure, pastime, escape and creativity. The "cognitive game" is a valuable tool for children's teaching, not forgetting also that through playful activities the child is fully able to express inclinations, character, personality, relationships and spontaneous interactions.

PROGRAM AND COURSE DATES

The course will take place in MAY 2022 for a total of 8 meetings with the following times:

• for primary school children >> 14:30-16:00
• for kindergarten children >> 16:30-18:00

1) Monday 02 May - YOUNG VISITORS GROW: PRESENTATION AND V ISITA GUIDED TO THE EXHIBITION, FOLLOWED BY THEMATIC ANALYSIS AND CHROMATIC OBSERVATION TO STIMULATE VISUAL ATTENTION. CHOICE OF THE WORKS THAT WILL BE RECREATED

2) Friday 06 May - THE PORTRAIT: FIGURATIVE ART IN COMPARISON. HOW ARTISTS DRAW AND COLOR THE FACES OF CHARACTERS

3) Monday 09 May - LET'S LEARN TO USE CHARCOAL, A NATURAL MINERAL USED BY THE GREAT PAINTERS OF ANTIQUITY, TO STUDY AND SKETCH THE FIRST SKETCHES OF THE DRAWING

4) Friday, May 13 - WE LEARN THE SECRETS OF THE CONTEMPORARY PICTORIAL TOUCH. OVERLAPPING MIXED TECHNIQUES: COMPOSITION OF A STILL LIFE

5) Wednesday 18 May - WATERCOLOR AND CHINA: HOW TO MAKE A FLORAL ARRANGEMENT

6) Friday 20 May - APPROACH TO SCREEN PRINTING: TECHNIQUE OF ARTISTIC PRINTING OF IMAGES ON COTTON SUPPORT 

7) Monday 23 May - THE LANDSCAPES: CHROMATIC STUDY WITH MIXED APPLIED TECHNIQUES: PIGMENTS, EGG WHITE AND EGG YOLK, THE COLORS OF ANTIQUITY ... INTERPRETATIONS

8) Monday 30 May - PREPARATION OF THE EXHIBITION entitled: "BETWEEN ART AND IMAGE: THE PRIVATE COLLECTION OF MAURO CAPPELLARI PIEROTO INTERPRETED WITH THE EYES OF CHILDREN" - INAUGURATION OF THE EXHIBITION WITH ALL PARENTS and DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES OF PARTICIPATION IN THE ART TEACHING COURSE

Cost per child: € 100.00 (including all material* for 8 meetings lasting 1.5 hours, for a total of 12 hours).

Payment (upon early registration) must be made on the day of the start of the course.

Each meeting, aimed at the children of the Nursery and Primary School of the Community of Foza, will be structured by age group and level of education.

To empower and continuously stimulate attention and commitment, the course will be structured in such a way that, during the 8 meetings, each child will be engaged in different phases of manual work, to reach the realization of artistic works starting from the study and observation of the works of art on display up to the complete realization.

Each parent will be issued a release / authorization to be filled in for the online publication of photos during the activity of understanding and carrying out the artistic works.

Parents are advised to accompany children with a mask over 6 years of age (and a spare one).
