CUCU 2016 FESTIVAL on the Asiago plateau, series of touring shows in the hamlets of Roana from 25 to August 28, 2016

Since Thursday 25  to Sunday 28 August 2016 the fractions of Roana, on theplateau of Asiago, prepare to host the traditional cuckoo Festival: various touring shows with jugglers, puppeteers, magicians, acrobats, comedians and more to excite the audience with "International Festival of street art".

Street performers of all kinds are ready to enchant you with their tricks, their performances, their comedy, in the charming landscape ofthe Asiago plateau.

Go Go Megafon [Italy]
Rock 'n' ROLL-LATIN-PUNK [live music]

The Go Go Megafon are a band from look extravagant and explosive sound. They performed on the streets and on stages all over Europe. Painted faces, eccentric costumes, charisma and irrepressible energy. Two trombones, bass, guitar, vocals and drums in motion. Unleashed among the crowd, paint and overturn the audience creating a unique show, powerful and unpredictable.

Maurangas [Argentina]
SHOW RAMPANT ORCHESTRA [Street Theater and juggling]

Mauranga will have to train hard to tackle the great test of balance, domesticate wild animals, juggle with hats, go through a ring of fire riding a minibici ... But all these exercises are just tests to get to realize his dream: playing a stirring Symphony which surprised the entire audience.

The TWINS MEJERCHOLD [comedy theater-music]

The Twins Mejerchold are two multifaceted artist expressing song and pantomime as peculiar skill, recovering the surreal dimension and child who still lives between theater and circus; two women kneading comedy and music without sacrificing femininity a bit "sciantosa," traveling from vaudeville, variety and magazine to arrive to the art of clown. Every diva has its quirks, but with two of this caliber problems don't double: multiply the painting!

Only with the Moon is a show of clowning and acrobatics on the wire, a project that uses acro-yoga, acrobalance, dance and rope-walking, with a peculiar structure half-moon that balances a tightrope

It's a sweet and entertaining show that ensues when a young talented artist and penniless meets a movie star of the past failure. When the road becomes a part of the world to dream and everything becomes possible ... When the poem makes me laugh and rice moves when time stops and strange creatures sing at night love and poetry. And when the artist and diva, abnormal may appear as inevitable are discovered each other ... Why fly alone is only an illusion.

MENU OF THE DAY [Street Theater and juggling]

A comedy juggling show by the typical atmosphere of an Italian trattoria. The show is a Visual menu: skill numbers and skits are followed as the courses of a meal, to intrigue and "abboffare" of emotions the audience. Manipulating strings of bottles and dishes, amazing tricks with spoons, cups, egg and coffee cups, a choreography "latina" from 1 to 5 footballs and a final test of nerves of "spinning" of items to create in the spectator a well worked by mixed feelings, from gaiety to the tension.

SPYRAL [fire technical performance and movement]

Show dedicated to fire and its possible variations as to instruments and movement, touch and manipulation. The music creates the Union of an uninterrupted sequence of numbers that have characters like the performer and the flame into one harmonious movement, leaving ample breath to feelings that the risk and smoothness of movements recalls. The show deliberately without words, to leave freedom to flow to the feelings of the Viewer.

Shelly Mia Kastner and Jason McPherson, Canadian and u.s. him you. The secret of their success is the sum of multiple addends: an innate talent, like the overflowing comic verve, but also knowledge of the trade, the public, the means at their disposal to build an overwhelming sight, only for the variety of gags and comic situations, only for the harmony with which the different circus disciplines (puppetry , juggling, acrobatics, comedy) come together.
Strange Comedy offers 45 minutes of non-stop stunts, laughter and surprises and emotions in a truly dazzling.

LES Retro BICYCLES [acrobatic]

Jessica Ros and Charlotte Kolly interpret Louise and Juliette, two energetic women who allow themselves to be carried away by the frantic pace of the music giostrandosi between everyday objects. The stunts in the air and thecircus arts combine to create unusual images, funny and poetic, proposing a joyful dance made up of stunts on a rope and on a bicycle suspended.
