Roan culture & music continues its work by proposing to the traditional Easter fixture with classical music.The concert will take place on Sunday 5 April, at 21.00, at the Council Chamber of the Town Hall in Canove, followed by a small reception.

The two talented young pianists, Giulio Andreetta and Carlo Alberto Cazzuffi will offer the public an interesting concert for piano four hands, presenting works by Schubert, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, Dvorak.

"Lebensstürme" ("storm of life"), by f. Schubert, will open the concert: it's a story pervaded by an immediate and electrifying drama, sublime expression, almost sort of symphonic poem in which a fierce, almost martial theme, it alternates a sweet and Heavenly exquisitely.

Followed by a small suite consisting of five pieces, But Mere l'Oye by m. Ravel, inspired by many illustrations from a book of "fairy tales for children" (hence the subtitle "Cinq pièces enfantines").
The Fables that inspired the 5 movements are:
1. "La bella addormentata nel bosco", (Perrault);
2. "Tom Thumb", (Perrault);
3. "Laideronnette, Empress of the pagodas", (d'Aulnoy);
4. "the conversari of beauty and the beast", (Beaumont);
5. "The Enchanted Garden" (of uncertain origin).
The suite was written for the children of Ida and Cipa Godebski (which Ravel had earlier dedicated his ' Sonatine '), Mimie and Jean, of six and seven years respectively, and designed to fit the modest possibilities of two small piano. Adapts with tender participation in their sensitivity,
unfolding a world of dreams and accompanying them through mysterious adventures, amazing, iridescent spells spells.

The Carnival of the animals, of SaintSaëns, is the best known among the works by Saint Saëns. was composed in 1886 at a Carnival party among musician friends. The author forbade publication before his death because he considered this work a simple fun for family and friends. The
the composition consists of 13 songs that describe amusing and ironic features of some animals. After the last track Saint Saëns inserts a finale that cheerfully concludes this fun gallery of characters. The author, along with the animals, put also the caricature of characters (s
pianists and music critics) related to his work as a performer and composer.

A very famous song, Slavonic dance in c minor op. 46 No. 7 of Dvořák, conclude the program.
The Slavonic dances are a set of 16 pieces for orchestra composed by Dvořák in 1878: inspired by Brahms ' Hungarian dances, originally composed for piano four hands, and later were orchestrated under the request of Dvořák's Publisher. The strongly nationalist, pieces,
were well-received at the time, and today are among the most famous pieces of Czech composer.
