Naturalistic guided walk to discover Rubbio of his celery and mountain farming with Asiago Guide

In Rubbio, a small town of 300 inhabitants on the Asiago Plateau, a delicacy rich in vitamins and minerals is grown: rubby celery.
A vegetable that has been cultivated since the early 1900s, thanks to the typical soil and the mountain climate, which alternates with the winter rigors, dry and breezy summers. "Gerla full of celery on the shoulders, men and women of Rubbio for centuries went down to sell their specialty to the plain."
On the occasion of this trip to the plain, on 8 September, therefore, has naturally also become the date of the"Celery Festival",one of the oldest events of the Asiago Plateau, an event that combines religious aspects with the fun and enhancement of local products.
With this excursion immersed in the beech, meadows and alpine pastures, we will meet a small farmer who will tell us the secrets of this extraordinary vegetable.
At the end aperitif and tasting in Malga based on rubbio celery, to live a unique and extraordinary experience.
The tasting, not mandatory and carried out at the end of the excursion has a cost of 20 euros (not included in the price of the event).

The route does not present any particular technical difficulties, it is suitable for everyone and develops between dirt roads, mountain paths some stretch of asphalt road, rarely busy. The uphill difference is less than 200 m, there are no exposed sections.
FROM PORT WITH Self: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, cap.
COST: 15 euros, for the guided excursion. 5th for under-15s.
