Guided hike to Melette with guides, Sunday 29 June
The term "melette" means a mountain above the towns of Gallium and Foza composed of various tops with vast meadows used for summer pasture.
The term derives from Cimbro Mehl-Ekke, flour pastes, indicate the strong presence of Mehlkraut (wild spinach, farinelle) or the presence of "sfarinate" of snow even in summer.
The path has several interesting aspects: switching to Malga Slapeur still produces sheep's cheese; military works between Monte Fior and Monte Castelgomberto scene of important battles of the great war; the presence of particular geological formations called crowns, including who can see the marmots and admire the splendid panorama on the plateau.
