Escursione Guidata alle Cascate del PachHistorical-Naturalistic excursion to the waterfalls of Pach with Plateau guides, Sunday September 8, 2013

The Plateau Guides offerhistorical and naturalistic excursions to the waterfalls of Pach, Asiago plateau, Sunday 8 September 2013.

The meeting is set to 09:00 at the Piazzale dello Stadio del ghiaccio di Asiago.

Duration: half-day excursion. FIX: media path.

The strong karstification of the plateau rarely allows the water to flow to the surface, so streams and creeks stand out only to snowmelt or after heavy storms. For particular geological formations , certain areas have small streams around the time of the year, is the case of waterfalls formed by Pach to Rotzo. The path starts from the Centre of the village and goes up to the ledges that separate the village from Val d Assa.

Right here, after colorful passages like Stighele (ladder), you arrive at "rock jumps" several meters high, where the magic of water is emphasized by lush vegetation, making this goal a memorablewalk.  The return takes place through the wide terraces cultivated with potatoes, admiring the countries of Treschè Hollow and Tonezza, so close that they touch but actually separated by deep valleys.
