Saturday, July 23, 2016, Asiago Guide organizes interesting guided hike on Monte Ortigara, symbolic mountain of the great war in the plateau.
Here, where it was already difficult to survive even without a fight, Italian and Austro-Hungarian soldiers died thousands in the attacks that were rampant in 1916 and especially in 1917.
You can "read" the battle field exactly as it did 100 years ago: in fact the distance between countries, strict and long winters in addition to sparse vegetation make it perfectly visible signs left of the two armies arrayed to fight up to 2000 m.
