Excursion in the great war with the Asiago Plateau Guides-"1° Battle of Melette"
Hiking is easy-medium difficulty and is suitable for those who want to discover the events of the great war. This site has been the subject of contention by two armies for a long time, becoming a real battlefield.
Here they fought four Alpine Battalions "Argentera", "Peebles", "Val Maira" and "Monviso", framed in "group" and the six Foza Battalions of 152 151° Infantry Regiment "Sassari" Brigade, which alone arrested the last bulwark of the Monte Fior and Monte Castelgomberto the formidable Austro-Hungarian units.
There are many points of historical interest (trenches, tunnels, gun emplacements) allow most pleasant stops, alternated to the numerous passages in tunnels and trenches.

The Association is composed of local guides that operate on the territory of the seven Municipalities Plateau for many years. Membership to the site by members of the group ensures an intimate knowledge of the proposals and a deeply respectful approach towards the environment and its history. Our guides are professionals recognized and entered in the register of the Vicenza province; they propose to accompany busloads of people on excursions and tours drive on the territory, as required by regional law No. 33 of 11/4/2002.
