The Highland Guides offer the 'historical-naturalistic excursions on Monte Cengio, Altopiano di Asiago, Sunday August 12, 2012.

The meeting is set to 8:30 at Piazzale dello Stadio del ghiaccio di Asiago.

Excursion duration: full day. Fix path: easy.

Many other excursions will be offered during the summer 2012.

This excursion is ideal for those who want to combine a little challenging with visiting a place of high historical value, situated in a position from where you can admire one of the most beautiful scenery of ' entire plateau.

The ' is considered easy hiking, walking even by inexperienced walkers.

The trail runs along the southwest side of the mountain, digging for long stretches in the live rock and in some places using galleries.

The Trail extends for about 4 km, allowing you to get to the top but the 1347 altitude 150 m seems not to be heard, as many points of historical interest (trenches, tunnels and gun emplacements, besides the famous leap of the grenadiers) allow for pleasant breaks and in case of warm days in the Gallery allow you to freshen up.

The views of the final part of Astico Valley and on the rear ' plain offering all the way takes away my breath.
