Hoga Zait (which in the Cimbrian language means "beautiful time" or "high time", therefore time of celebration) is the traditional Festival of Cimbrian Culture, organized by the  Municipality of Roana in collaboration with the various Pro loco and local associations, and sponsored by the Veneto Region.

Over the years, this extraordinary festival has become an unmissable event in the summer calendar of the Plateau of the Seven Municipalities.

The 19th edition of Hoga Zait will be held in the hamlets of the Municipality of Roana from Friday, July 12 to Sunday, July 21 , 2024, offering a variety of activities and initiatives to discover the history, traditions, uses, customs and Cimbrian legends of the Roana territory.

During the event there will be the "Schellaträgar", the representatives of the six hamlets of the territory and custodians of the "Schella" (bell), dressed in traditional costumes.

The activities proposed during the event will be varied and designed specifically for various age groups, from workshops for children, to excursions, Cimbrian dinners and cultural evenings for adults. But also theatrical performances, folk concerts and much more!

THE HOGA ZAIT 2024 PROGRAM

FRIDAY 12 – CANOVE Loc. Bisele

• From 18:30 to 21:00 - "Ass Taal – the mountain in reverse" guided excursion to Bisele with Asiago Guide. Meeting at the headquarters of the Pro loco Canove.
• 9:00 pm - Official opening of the festival with a concert Pierangelo Tamiozzo and Hotel Rif in Bisele. In case of bad weather it will be held at the Palazzetto Polifunzionale (Multifunctional Hall).

SATURDAY 13 – TRESCHE' CONCA Piazza Fondi

• All day ""
• From 9:30 am to 1:00 pm - "Alte Lentle: Conca, a town suspended between Cimbrians and Venetians" guided excursion through the districts of Treschè Conca with Asiago Guide. Meeting at the Fountain of the Elves (near the Church).
• 6:00 p.m. - Show "Filò de 'sti ani e formaio fresco" by the Filò company

SUNDAY 14 – CAMPOROVERE Loc. Casa Tanzerloch

• From 9:30 am to 1:00 pm - "Alte Lentle me Kamparube", guided excursion to discover the Cimbrian Camporovere with Asiago Guide
• From 15:00 to 18:00, "On the trail of the past ... the cheese of the Cimbri", demonstration of the ancient craft of the cheesemaker, Cimbrian tales and educational workshop for children and teenagers, curated by Carlo Bressan, at Casa Tanzerloch. Free admission, maximum number of participants for the workshop: 20 people
• 6:30 pm - Musical reading at sunset with hornists
• 8:00 p.m. - Cimbrian dinner with fixed menu at Casa Tanzerloch 

FRIDAY 19 – MEZZASELVA Baito Erio

• From 17:30 to 19:30 - "Billar Belt, A wild world", workshop for children with Asiago Guide
• 7:30 pm - Cimbrian food stand + Celtik Punk folk concert with Inisglas Band (9:00 pm)

SATURDAY 20 – CESUNA town center and Park of Legends

• From 10:00 to 13:00 - "Dar Schàtz me Kan Züne", treasure hunt with Asiago Guide
• 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. - "Reflections of water and... di anguane", animated readings and painting workshop for children curated by Consuelo Morello at Piazzetta dell'Alpino. For reservations Pro loco Cesuna tel.
• 8:45 p.m. - Fairytale show of the "Zelighen Baiblen" at the Park of Legends (in case of bad weather at the Palaciclamino)

SUNDAY 21 – ROANA Piazza S. Giustina

• From 16:00  to 18:00 - "Obar Robaan" guided excursion with Asiago Guide 
• 4:00 p.m. - "Vita de sti ani" historical re-enactment with exhibition of rural tools and peasant life with Lacharen and Rispaar  - 6:00 p.m. - Show "Rebel tales of sugar-free Elves" with Lustikh and Ramaloch
• 7:30 pm - Cimbrian Food Stand
• 9:00 pm - Closing concert of the festival with "The Rumpled" in Piazza Santa Giustina (in case of bad weather it will be held at the Palaciclamino in Cesuna).
