HIKING OR SNOWSHOEING WITH MAP AND COMPASS

When Saturday mornings (from 10.00 to 12.30)

What is: With Orienteering boys and how many are going to learn the basics to explore with map and compass and know the magnificent area around us. Orienteering is a sport fun and interesting. Orienteering maps, and lots of forests means adventure.

No matter how young, old or trained are: Orienteering is a sport for everyone and we practice outdoors (outdoor).

The orienteer tests his skills by choosing the shortest way and to reach a series of control points marked on a topographic map specially designed, using a compass.
Numerous initiatives in calendar, open to all.

PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES

Orientation and reading topographic maps, guided walk along a route in the area looking for landmarks on the map.

Meeting point and departure scheduled at 9.00 from the Bar at the station near the entrance of the square the ice stadium of Asiago;

Task duration: 10-12 .30

Cost of activities including material to carry out the activity

Adults and teens who participate over 5 years: 5€

Kids up to 10 years old: a parent doesn't pay.

DRESS CODE:

Mountaineering boots, NO MOON BOOTS, pants, fleece, jacket, hat, gloves and a total change of clothing drive.

The Association "Plateau" first Association of guides of the plateau, consists of local guides that operate on the territory of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni since 2008.  Membership to the site by members of the group ensures an intimate knowledge of the proposals and a deeply respectful approach towards the environment and its history. Our guides are mountain professionals recognized and enrolled in the province of Vicenza; they propose to accompany busloads of people hiking and tours around the area, as required by regional law No. 33 of 04/11/2002 and according to the laws of the professional bodies of which fan part. The basics of orienteering is provided by Federal technicians experienced instructors in sports orienteering and land association with Asiago 7 Comuni plateau SOK.
