Evening with special guest Mauro Corona in Canove, on the Asiago Plateau Seven Municipalities

The Municipality of Roana, with the collaboration of the Libreria Giunti al Punto di Asiago,has the pleasure and honor of hosting for the second time the writer Mauro Corona,who will tell his latest novel "The Last Sip".
Two years after storm Vaja,which hit the woods of our Plateau heavily, it is also necessary to remember what happened and there will be an opportunity to do so with Mauro Corona,a sincere lover of the mountains.
The event will take place on Friday, October 30, 2020, at 20:30 at the Palazzetto di Canove with mandatory reservation at the IAT Roana (Tourist Information Office of the Municipality of Roana) or at the Giunti Library of Asiago at a cost of 2 € (contribution for sanitization of the Palazzetto).
The book will be available for purchase during the evening.

THE BOOK
"The Last Sip" tells the mountain and the story of friendship with Celio, his old friend and mentor, known during his troubled childhood.
Celio is a mountain man who lives in a small village in the Alps, where the author also grew up.
The protagonist specializes in different areas becoming a rock climber, miner, woodcutter, stonematter and beekeeper, but ultimately he never finds his dimension and therefore it will be the author who will make him rediscover his identity, making him a real character although misanthropic and elusive. In fact, Celio will refuse to live like the others, speaking only the Ladin dialect and marginalizing himself from society, embracing alcohol, his only companion for life, which will eventually lead him to delirium and death.
The friend has been able to teach him so much from life, protecting him from the violence of his father and giving him wisdom advice, like a true master, that is why Corona wants to pay tribute to him with this book, in which he rediscovers himself as a child and putting in black and white his memories and tales of Celio.
His style is harsh, nervous and authentic and in the backlight the reader finds the writer's true autobiography, which is reflected in the character of his novel.
