Mountain hiking in FOZA
Guided excursion, in cooperation with "Friends of history of Foza" along ancient paths that connected the device to the "downtown". Visiting Mount Cornon and Sasso Rosso (historically important areas to the mountainous area of the Asiago plateau and its foothills, the Brenta Canal).
l topic of our day will be tied to the variety and richness of mountain cultures, with the aim of promoting the wide range of identities "montane". The country of Foza, evacuee in 1916 was saved from destruction during the advance of the Strafexpedition. 100 years ago in December 1917, was set on fire by the outbreak of fuel depot by one of the departments "flamethrower" Italians. Along the route we will go trough the beautiful and characteristic quarters of Foza, along ancient paths, vital roads that always converges outlying areas to "downtown". We'll talk about biodiversity, flora and fauna with endemic species such as the breed of sheep "Foza" bearing mountains, indigenous economy element already in Roman times, during the Venetian Republic and now reduced to little more than a hundred heads.
Visit mount Cornon, maximum progress of Austro-Hungarian divisions during the "second battle of Melette" and become fundamental pivot in the Italian defensive line, Mte Grappa-plateau.
Return to the country at about 13.30, then guided visit to the Ethnographic Museum of Foza. For those who want then at 16.00 opportunity to attend the presentation of the new book on the history of the WORLD: from FOZA-Foza wars and migrations-of Louis and Gabriele Menegatti.

Us "Plateau" we are the first group of professional guides of the plateau. We are local guides who operate on the territory of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni since 2008. Membership to the site by members of the group ensures an intimate knowledge of the proposals and a deeply respectful approach towards the environment and its history. CHALLENGING routes that require training are experienced and physical strength on the part of those who follow them. You must know how to move with skill even in dangerous terrain: steep scree, steep slopes or dense Bush, tall and unreferenced, rock steps, lack of sources.
