The trail runs along the western edge of the "maximum strength" or South face of the great war, an ideal barrier which contained the Imperial Army on the mountains people bulwark of the Veneto plain. It starts at about 1300 m in "holes of Campbell", karst depressions used as pasture.
Arrived in the Observatory of Nozzle Madan11 you climb up to an altitude of 1417 Rooster top (Monte Madan11) touching many points of historical interest (trenches, tunnels, gun emplacements), while many natural balconies provide pleasant stop admiring the final part of Astico Valley, mount Summano, the Dolomites, and the plain of which you can see the countries and cities, and if time permits, the lagoon.
For those who want to have lunch in Malga Foraoro, enjoying in simple products at zero distance of this magnificent area.
Head back towards the machines in the afternoon enjoying the peacefulness of the Woods and the company of its inhabitants.
