EXCURSION FROM SUNSET TO THE STARS WITH NIGHT IN A REFUGE
12 August 2021, Asiago plateau
From Mount Verena you can enjoy a fantastic view of the nearby Trentino so much so that from the homonymous fort, on May 24, 1915, two ringing, metallic, lacerating shots started that crossed the sky singing the cry of War! Italy enters the war against the former austro-Hungarian ally.
From the top, at sunset, we will enjoy a 360 ° panorama towards the Piana di Vezzena and towards the southern part of the Plateau. After dinner at the refuge at 2000 m our amateur astronomer will talk about stars, constellations, myths and legends related to the celestial vault. For those who want the possibility of overnight stay and breakfast, at dawn the next day magnificent panorama of the Alps.
EXCURSION PROGRAM:
12 August 2021 Meeting at 5.30 pm meeting at Piazzale Verenetta (SkiArea Verena 2000) in front of Chalet Grizzly.
Upon arrival at Forte Verena, guided tour of the structure dating back to the First World War and dinner at the refuge (with a la carte menu).
After dinner Group A, evening with the Amateur Astronomer.
Group B, evening with the Amateur Astronomer, overnight stay, sunrise and breakfast at 2000m, return with the Guide around 11.00 am on 1.08 pm.
