From 5 December 2021 to 27 February 2022 the MECF – Ethnographic Museum of the Community of Foza – will host an exhibition project linked to the representation of the nativity of Christ entitled "Let's start from the crib: artistic interpretations".
On display many handmade nativity scenes in collaboration with the"Friends of the crib of Denno".
The month of January 2022 will be enriched by courses and lessons of local artistic crafts aimed at children and adults.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Sunday 5 December at 15:00.
At the Mecf, in the same period, it is also possible to visit the exhibition exhibition project linked to the knowledge and dissemination of the art of local andnon-local craftsmanship.

THE EXHIBITION
The oldest representation of the Nativity of Christ made with figures and with the background a landscape in relief, the so-called crib is dated and documented to the year 1291 ca.
The idea of a review of cribs in Denno was born in the 90s, with small limited involvements to reach in 1998 the creation of a real committee, starting the review of cribs. The committee was an expression of all the associations present in the community.
The event over the years develops, through the creativity of different people acquires visibility by expanding the boundaries outside the Province; a leading role undoubtedly goes to Luigi Dolzan true "soul and core" among the promoters of the initiative.
The proposal makes it necessary to change the organization, so in 2017, always under the impulse of Luigi, the Association"Amici del Presepe Denno"was born. The project aims to further enhance the historic center of the village of Denno with the creation of a predefined path with the works created by several people, associations, groups present in the country.
At this point it was decided to give an incisive title to the event and among various proposals came out "Den among the cribs".
The work that the association carries out derives from the need for a cognitive recovery of the frank values of tradition; it was not easy or obvious, but in recent years the event reaches a considerable number of cribs.
The current period, due to the pandemic, has reduced the demonstrations in the various communities, but the emotion for the construction of the crib has had supremacy, bringing a lot of interest in our country where many people have offered spaces and works to exhibit.
Our cultural and ethnic environment also has an impact on us; feeling the closeness of the community is always an emotion: the pandemic has allowed the whole community to review our beautiful historic center and discover its history by admiring and enjoying the magnificent creations on display.
The hope that we propose is that the event we organize will find its place in our social, that it will become an example of how the community unity manages to transmit the sense of doing together.

Anti-Covid-19 measures will be adopted and respected and all national and regional regulations in force for the entire period of exhibition and opening of the museum will be valid.
