MONTE LEMERLE MUSIC BAND
The birth of the Cesuna Music Band is undoubtedly linked to the name of AttilioPorto, its founder and master until the year of his death, 1967.
The Monte Lèmerle Music Band performed for the first time to the public in Cesunese on April 20, 1924 - Easter Day - and its staff boasted 42 elements, to which the master was added.
The activity of the Banda continued until the beginning of the 1940s, a period that marked a period of interruption due to the outbreak of the Second World War, but at the end of the conflict it resumed until 1967, the date of the master's death. This event caused a period of crisis and disorientation that also touched the band complex of Asiago, with which a brief merger and collaboration was born. Attilio Porto's place was taken by his son Dino, a longtime musician.
The opportunity to realize the rebirth of the musical group was presented in 1974,on the eve of the National Alpine Gathering in Udine, an occasion that saw a new and successful merger between Cesuna and Asiago. Today the Cesuna Music Band can boast a staff of more than 30elements, on the rise.
