Guided excursions
Friday excursions, organized by The Pro Loco of Roana in collaboration with Asiago Guide:on August 7, 2020, the interesting excursion led by the theme " Netkheese anloan - Not only cheese" is planned.
The exit will take you from 9.30am to 1pm,departing from Piazza Santa Giustina,and will take you with an easy walk to Malga Fiara.
EXCURSION DETAILS
The huts, even if they were even a day's walk away, were an integral part of the common heritage, feeling as familiar as the square or the church of the village. Fundamental to ensure constant revenue to small communities: they guaranteed minimal services such as the functioning of the municipality and the protection of the poorest. In summer they were set up to produce cheese, in spring and autumn they were base for lumberjacks, and in more recent times, for recoverers. In winter, then, they were safe havens for smugglers who crossed the border away from the main roads to avoid the duties and round up the meagre family income. Stories of life more or less distant that we will try to tell in this easy circuit between Fiara and Fiaretta.

PROBLEM: We assign a difficulty 2 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between dirt roads and mountain trails. The uphill difference is less than 250 m, there are no exposed sections.
FROM PORT WITH SÉ: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, cap.
COST: 5 euros for guided excursion.
