NOVEMBER 4 Day of National Unity Party of the armed forces, 02/11 Cesuna

Sunday 2 November 2014 to Cesuna, Asiago plateau, the Comune di Roana is celebrated as national unity day and armed forces day. The day 4 November marks the anniversary of thearmistice that sanctioned the end of the first world war for Italy.

The celebration will begin at 10.15 o'clock at the square in front of the Church with the Mark and the flags of the associations present and the gonfalon of the municipality. Followed by the Holy Mass in the Church.

At 11.15 a.m. ceremony begins with the deposition of the Crown at the War Memorial and Tribute to the fallen, official prayer and commemorative speeches.

To follow the historical-cultural Association South Front Seven Municipalities Plateau project at the Andrea Palladio Film a vintage movie about World War I and at the Mario Rigoni Stern Library (former elementary school) three original movies of Gianni Pieropan, a scholar of the first world war. You can also visit the exhibition at the Andrea Palladio Centre.

The South Front Association aims to celebrate the centenary of the great war through projects and events aiming at enhancing the role of theAsiago plateau had the war events. The proposed initiatives will take place over the four years of the centenary and include the creation of photographic exhibitions, film festivals, conferences and seminars, dissemination of studies and researches, guided visits to the most interesting historical sites, architectural and theatrical re-enactments and environmental war facts
