One hundred years of rite of spring: dance

Event of instantaneous composition and dance in suggestive spaces of ASIAGO PRISONS MUSEUM, to mark the centenary of the premiere of the RITE of SPRING, the cornerstone of contemporary choreography, created by v. Nijinsky on music by Igor Stravinsky in 1913.

Starting from 16.00 on Sunday March 3 the Prisons Museum will be the setting for the third leg of a search path of danza contemporanea, proposed to the students of dance schools belong to the network NOLIMIT-A-C-TION.

The young dancers come from five active reality in Vicenza territory, which disseminate their work in the municipalities of Schio, Thiene, Montecchio Maggiore, Rosà and Romano D Ezzelino '. The ' initiative promotes dialogue, the ' meeting and confrontation between young people residing in the territories, and sharing professional experiences that accompany them in an artistic dimension where the ' art of dance moves to other forms of expression, and leads them to live alternative culture sites to the stage. You can see snapshots of choreography compositions inspired by the themes of "Rite of spring": sacrifice for the sake of a community, a sense of belonging to a community, relations between different generations of a community.

Visitors can simultaneously admire also the anthological exhibition "GRAPHIC WORKSHOP" Aurelio Strong Laan (curated by Busellato art gallery), one of the most fascinating places of art engraving. An exhibition that reflects talent and ability a contemporary master manuals that, thanks to his sensitive personality, achieved in forty years of research, study drawings, Monotypes, etchings, paintings and sculptures. A job faithfully dedicated to places and to the people of the plateau etched in the memory of the artist.

Thelast stop of this route will be held Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Museo Civico of Bassano on the occasion of the international day of dance.

NOLIMIT-A-C-TION in fact collaborate from 2011 to the events that the City of Bassano del Grappa Assessorato alla Cultura, spectacle and Operaestate promote in the city and in the Museo Civico bassanese.

Roan culture & music collaborates in the realization of this important event, for the first time presented in Plateau, giving continuity to its draft dissemination of art and culture in all its forms, and to offer young artists the opportunity to showcase their talent.
Once again the Asiago Prisons Museum offers itself as a moment didactic artistic expressive cultural programming – the town of Asiago, pleased to host for the first time this excellent event.
