Tuesday, August 26 at 17:30 at the Council Hall of the Municipality of Asiago will be presented the new book by Paola Hammer "seven times seven times Woods lawn", where shooting various legends drawn from the Cimbric about flora and fauna. Sponsored by the Cimbri Institutes.
After giving the Cimbri Fables, the Paper Painted with figures of popular imagination, Altaburg, a dramatic poem for images and words, here is a new adventure of Paola Hammer, through places, stories, words collected in the territory between the rivers Adige and Brenta, Trentinomountains, Vicenza, Verona, territory characterised for over a thousand years to a language and a culture of Germanic origincalled Cimbrian.
"Seven times, seven times Woods Lawn and everything will come back as it had been" is the prophecy which gives the title to these pages, prophecy felt Mittewald, to indicate the continuity of life and the incessant transformations of history that changed landscapes, lifestyles and interpret reality. The number " Seven" is legendary, as in archaic cultures around the world, to indicate duration perpetual.
This prophecy invites you to overcome the immediate present to help us to feel that we belong to an evolution of worlds and endless times. The stories of ogres and anguane, of witches and beate katli... that filled the imagination of the past were not overcome illusions textures today from progress, but responded to a need of magic and dream.
