Tieri Filippin presents his latest book
On the afternoon of Saturday, August 10, 2019, a new appointment with books and authors is planned in Roana.
At the pro Loco headquarters, from 4.30 pm will be held the presentation of the book "TheMan without aHomeland", the latest work by TieriFilippin.
THE MAN WITHOUT PATRIA
This novel tells the true story of Vincenzo, born 1922, which could be that of one of the many emigrants with his family to Belgium in the early 1920s. His already hard life is turned upside down by the events leading up to the Second World War. Vincenzo is dragged into the whirlwind of war involving countries to which he had deluded himself to belong by birth or adoption.
The author collects with great sensitivity the lucid memories of an already over-90-year-old Vincenzo giving the plot the cadence of an action film. A tale of alternating fortunes, passions, courage and redemption; the narration of a life lived intensely, even some memories to keep jealously concealed: "On my war I did not tell you everything... I couldn't!"
