On Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 9:00 p.m., at the Institute of Cimbrian Culture in Roana (Via Romeo Sartori, 21), the presentation of the noir novel The Crimes of the Plateau will be held, with the participation of the author Stefano Fasolin. 

Published by Edizioni Clandestine, the book is set in Bassano del Grappa in 1960, where a young investigating judge, Dr. Matteo Mazzoni, finds himself grappling with a case that initially seems like a simple theft gone wrong, but which soon turns out to be an intricate intertwining of murders and secrets buried in the past. An esteemed teacher, her doctor husband and a young maid find death in suspicious circumstances, in an investigation that will lead Mazzoni to uncover uncomfortable truths and also to come to terms with his own personal life.

The novel skilfully intertwines noir atmospheres, judicial history and human implications, offering a compelling narrative full of twists and turns, against the backdrop of the Veneto of the Sixties.

The meeting will be an opportunity to meet the author Stefano Fasolin, lawyer and fan of detective literature, who will tell the genesis of the book and delve into the historical and psychological themes that run through it.

A cultural event not to be missed for lovers of detective stories and stories set in our territory.
