SAGRA DI SAN GIACOMO patron, Lusiana, Asiago plateau, Friday July 25, 2014

Friday 25 July 2014 in Lusiana, Asiago plateau, celebrates the Patron Saint of the village with the Feast of St. James, an event that annually draws many visitors.

In celebration of the Patron Saint is the traditional feast of beef jerky with typical local products of the territory. The kitchen offers traditional Dishes made from dried meat, goat's milk cheese, honey, tosella, mushrooms, caps and polenta in the country.

The Sunday that precedes or follows the July 25 is enriched by evocation of ancient crafts leading into piazza life scenes of yore: butchers will smoke the meat on the wood fire, cheesemakers produce cheeses with alpine gear, housewives prepare the sauerkraut according to ancient customs and again braiders tie the straw and packing bags and hats, laundresses lissia do and more.

To complete the event there will be the possibility to buy and taste the local products and organic Lusiana that will be offered by retailers and restaurateurs along via Roma. The tradition will naturally be accompanied by music evenings for a Waltz around in our beautiful piazza.
