From 26 to 28 February 2019, to Asiago, returns to the traditional feast of "Schella Marz" -or "Schella March" !
Plays March, meaning of the word Cimbricsource has always been celebrated warmly on theAsiago plateau: the wish, of adults and children, is to hasten the arrival of the spring, a rite to awaken the nature after the long sleep of winter and to bid farewell to the past season.
invites you to participate in this ancient Festival, symbol of the tradition and history ofthe plateau.
JARS & CANS
Children dressed as orcs, fairies and Zeleghen Baiblen, run through the streets of Asiago through the Center and the course of Asiago dragging tin cans connected with them collection.
Hitting the jars with wooden sticks, according to ancient traditions, the noise would wake the spring. Upon arrival in Piazza Risorgimento II, is awarded the group who made the succession of cans and jars .
THE BONFIRE OF VAJA
On the last day of the event, the 28 February 2019, "Baptiste la vecia": a majestic wooden dummy and paper mache is burned to symbolize the season that goes away.
To set fire to "vecia" will be the winner of Schella 2019.
Tradition wants that in theHighland spring coincides with the first day of March: it does not matter if the snow white whitening still roads and fields.
Women, youth, children accompanied by their parents, adults of the districts and city streets are invited to join in with the traditional "B." what and SCHELLE.
REGULATION SCHELLA MARZ 2019
Participating in the Contest Schella 2019 all children, young people, children accompanied by parents or adults who have a row of "b." prepared so as to be easily manoeuvrable when towing (exclusively Manual), especially in curves, to avoid any obstacles and damage to cars parked on the side of the road (each is responsible for its own row of bins).
The row of "B." must be made up only by cans, cans or other metal container.
If the row contains "inappropriate material" (mufflers, dog fornela, sheets, bed Headboards ...) will be excluded from the parade. The row must not however exceed 15 METERS LONG and 2 METERS WIDE.
The winner of the SCHELLA 2019 will be chosen by a jury.
Will aspire to win the SCHELLA only those who are going to all three EVENINGS of Schella Marz 2019.
The first evening at 20.00 a jury in piazza Risorgimento II (across the Hall) will collect the inscriptions of the participants to the competition and the name of an adult in charge of the group.
On this occasion will be measured the files that must REMAIN UNCHANGED in the THREE EVENINGS.
The last night will be burned in piazza la Vecia SCHELLA 2019 is assigned.
