The traditional festival of"Schella Marz" - or"Schella March" this year will take place in a single evening, on Monday, March 2, 2020.

It sounds March,meaning the word of origin Cimbra,has always been warmly celebrated on theAsiago Plateau:the hope, of adults and children, is for the hastening of the arrival of spring, a rite to awaken nature after the long sleep of winter and to say goodbye to the past season.

Children disguised as orcs, fairies and Zeleghen Baiblen,will walk around the squares of Asiago crossing the Center and the Asiago Course for the inevitable parade of the banners,dragging with them tin cans tied together.

By hitting the jars with wooden sticks, according to ancient traditions,the din should wake up the spring.

Upon arrival in Piazza II Risorgimento,the group that made the longest succession of cans and cans is rewarded.

Then there is the"brute vecia": a majestic wooden puppet and pesto paper is given to the flames to symbolize the season that goes away.

The winner of the Schella 2020will set the fire on the "vecia".

PROGRAM OF THE EVENING

• Meeting in front of City Hall at 8 p.m.
• Small parade, then moves us to the roundabout of the Weigh to wait for the Vecia
• Around 8:30 p.m. parade
• Arrival in the square for 9 p.m.
• Around 9:30 p.m./9:45 p.m.

Boys, young people, children accompanied by their parents, adults of the districts and streets of the city are invited to participate with the traditional rows of "BANDONS", CIOCHE and SCHELLE.
