DESTINATION: Monte Fior (Melette di Foza) - Asiago plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
In this area, so bitterly scratched by the Great War, stands out the natural beauty of the City of Rock, outcrops of red-ammonite that create the so-called crowns, spectacular rock formations on which it is not uncommon to see marmots "lying in the sun"!
Monte Fior and Monte Castelgomberto have among the most evocative trenches of the Asiago Plateau, part of which have been cleaned and secured to be visited.
A day of pure immersion in the mountain environment, accompanies us in the discovery of the evolution of the landscape and the war events that have characterized this area.
Reservations are required.
All the anti-contagion Covid-19 provisions in place at the time of the excursion will be adopted.
DIFFICULTY: we assign a difficulty 5 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route develops between mountain paths, restored war walkways and dirt roads crossing the high area of the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni. The difference in height uphill is less than 800 m there are no exposed sections.
TO TAKE WITH YOU: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, PACKED LUNCH.
COST: 20€ for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years.
