Snowshoe hike to Fort STRONG WAR Campolongo with guides, March 9, 2014
Sunday, March 9, 2014 will take the excursion to Forte Campolongo; the meeting point is at attached to bar of Asiago ice rink at 9.00 o'clock. You must wear Mountain boots and heavy clothing.
At the end of the excursion, prior notification, you can lunch in a restaurant/refuge nearby.
For the entire month of March 2014 Association Plateau Guides propose numerous snowshoe in the most fascinating places of theAsiago plateau.
STRONG CAMPOLONGO
The Strong Campolongo is located north of the municipality of Rotzo, surrounded by mixed forest and built on steeper slopes of the mountain.
The twin Fort Verena, was destroyed and abandoned in 1916. The ciapolata will lead us to visit the Fort, restored recently, enjoying the panoramic position where it is placed and capabilities the role during the first world war.
