Meeting on amphibians of Alpine plateau's pools with experts from the natural history Museum of Asiago
Friday 5 April 2019, at 20.00 hours, the Educational nature museum Patrizio Rigoni organizes an evening practice to save amphibians with S.O. S Amphibians Vicenza Alpine plateau's puddles.
In the first part of the meeting (maximum 30 min), the experts speak of amphibians that inhabit the Alpine ponds of theAsiago plateau and the characteristics that make them so important to the plateau ecosystem. Also, explain why are endangered and what is involved in the rescueoperation.
In the second part of the evening, we will move into the area of Sasso di Asiago and/or Val Lastaria and you will be taken to the practical activity of rescue amphibians (frogs, toads and Newts).
An interesting opportunity, for both children and adults, to learn more about the world of amphibians and discover a lot of new things about our beloved territory.
The meeting is free and open to all.
To bring: warning West, head lamp, and vegetable gloves, boots or rubber boots, a food-grade plastic bucket.
