META: Mount Cengio - Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)

The sheer perch mule on the Valdastico, the galleries and the legendary Gretier's Jump,make this route one of the most evocative of our mountains. In May 1916 with the start of the Spring Offensive the Italians are forced to retreat to the edge of the Plateau. Here the staunch resistance of the Greeders of Sardinia has slowed the advance of the enemy towards the plain. Subsequently the entire mountain was fortified by building tunnels and sheer passages on the valley below that give us today breathtaking views.
The work and sacrifice of the soldiers, remains imprinted among these girders that will give you a mountain of emotions.

Reservations are required.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.

FIX: We assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The route does not present any particular technical difficulties, it is characterized by the presence of mountain trails, mule roads, tunnels and some section of asphalt road, rarely busy. The mule track is located overlooking the Val d'Astico, the route is safely secured by the presence of handrails, but it is still exposed. The uphill climb is less than 350m.

FROM PORT WITH SÉ: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), possibly a small snack such as dried fruit, sunscreen, sunglasses, cap, front stack.

COST: 15 euros, for the guided excursion. 5th for children under 15, free for teachers (exhibiting a special model).
