Libro la partenza per il profugato Tuesday, December 30, at Rotzo, held an interesting meeting for the presentation of the book "the departure for the profugato".

The book, written by Nico Lobbia and Sergio Bonato, wants to remember the pain and atrocities of refugees who, to escape from the dangers of the great war, reluctantly left their beloved Plateau.

The meeting will start at 20.45, at the Archaeological Museum in Highland Village Castelletto di Rotzo.

The DEPARTURE for the PROFUGATO of n. LOBBIA s. BONATO

On the centenary of the first world war, theCimbrian Cultural Institute feels the duty to remember that endless popular epic of pain, long removed and forgotten by the official memory of the great war: the profugato.

This book on departure for profugato, connects closely to the book on the return from profugato, published by the Institute of culture in 2008 Cimbra. This publication is the result of a search of Nico Lobbia, expanded with more testimonials about the subject and with a photographic exhibition commemorating the plateau that our refugees have had to leave to save themselves. "Ghebar dehin sterban net zo" (we go away not to die) is the subtitle of the book, which says Cimbrian language the despair of a people forced to leave all suddenly, without knowing where to go. Had to leave "a corner of the most prosperous of our homeland", as wrote the historian g. c. Abba, mentioned in this book. He somewhat ideally has defined our people sober, austere, industrious, why want to shortly, they like to have everything ".
