There once was on the Plateau: open-air museum at the Rotzo July 7, 2013

Sunday, July 7, 2013, starting at 9.00 a.m. to Rotzo' held an initiative promoted by the Archaeological Museum of the ' Plateau of the seven Communes, in collaboration with the Museo Archeologico of ' Altovicentino: this is an open-air museum where you will retrace the paths traced by the first inhabitants of the place during the second iron age (5th-1st century BC).

Program

9.00 Hours Meeting at the Museum, via a. Dal Pozzo 5, Castelletto di Rotzo. Registration of participants and snacks for everyone with a slice of cake , homemade and a glass of juice.

9.15 A.m. Guided tour of the Museum, where are stored the findings from systematic excavations and discoveries of various kinds have occurred throughout the territory of the plateau. These findings demonstrate the strong unity and continuity and historical heritage of this particular mountain environment that has witnessed a millenarian frequentation by humans since prehistoric times , for the exploitation of natural resources, from Flint to the game, from the pastures, to commercio various types of productions. At the end archeonaturalistica walk to reach the site of Bostel of Rotzo and guided tour of the Archaeological Park.

12.30-14.30 Hours Possibility of lunch bag or at the restaurant inside the Archaeological Park of Bostel offering typical products of the plateau.

14.30-17.30 Hours While kids are engaged with a didactic recreational laboratory of experimental archaeology and a visit to the archeofattoria, the adults will be able to immerse themselves in the history of this particular archaeological site, take a step back in time by observing the environment and trying to identify with in the life of that time.

Participation is a numerus clausus.The inscriptions are possible until Thursday, before the event.

Cost

5 € for all, adults and children, the fee includes a guided tour of the Museum and the Park and for children the teaching laboratory.
