Passage of the traditional "transhumance" in the historical centre of Asiago

Make way, here come the cows!

Friday 21 September 2018 will take place the traditional passage of herding cows to Asiago, one of the most heartfelt folk traditions in the plateau.

Every year, the transhumance accompanied more than 450 cows, driven by a hundred people to horse, along the return journey from the mountain pastures.

At approximately 15.00, the herd arrives on Mount Sisemol, gallium, before heading towards the Centre of Asiago, with passage in the main square of the town, Piazza Risorgimento II and continued onto the Avenue Station; Here is a quick stop, in front of the mountain community Dear of the seven municipalities, for the delivery of the strand, the Bell symbol of transhumance.

Here the municipality of Asiago will reward the cow that produced more milk with a strand decorated by hand by the artist Clare Campbell Muller.

This year the transhumance Festival in Asiago will be made even more special by the which by tradition is celebrated precisely on 21 September!

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

• hours 15.00/15.30 Arrival herd in the locality of Sisemol.
• 18.00 hrs arrival of the parade in Asiago with continuation to Piazzale Stazione for delivery of traditional Bell
  The transhumance will continue for "STARLING" for overnight.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22

• 7.00 o'clock departure to Vicenza, arrival scheduled at 16.30 on Sunday 23 September with transhumance Festival
