On May 22, 1916, the glorious Bridge of Roana, just 10 years earlier, built between many difficulties was blasted by Italian troops under threat of Austro-Hungarian Strafexpedition progress; already a week the plateau was fleeing towards the Plains populates with a tragic profugato that would last at least three years.
Sunday, May 22, 2016, a hundred years after the destruction of the bridge, the Comune di Roana and its surroundings, together with Rotzo, are preparing to celebrate the 100th anniversary of this tragic event happened during the great war with a commemorative walk of about 12 km.
The walk will begin at 10.30 and will cross, between cultural animations in costume and refreshments cimbri, Roana, passing through the Val d Assa and along the ancient route of the old railway.
It will be an occasion to remember together, but also to rediscover the historical value, in addition to the natural one, of these wonderful places on theAsiago plateau.

The beginning of the walk towards Mezzaselva (arrival h. 11.15) following the banner of Dear of the seven municipalities

Arrival in piazza in Roana, cultural animations and Cimbric refreshment for participants

The complete path is about 12 km. Participation is free of charge.
Costumed participation is required at the time.
