Snowshoeing or Guided walk to the places of the Great War and visit outside Fort Lisser with Asiago Guide

DESTINATION: Fort Lisser - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI)

Stoner is a village nestled between the Lisser and Lambara mountains,before they sink into the Valsugana. Ancient landscapes, where time has stopped and everything smells of magic.  Your guide will accompany you in a careful analysis of the landscape, transformed by man   and then by war events. We will tell how the woods were exploited, how the meadows opened to graze livestock, and how tourist exploitation has sometimes distorted the territory...

The highest point of our walk is represented by the recently restored Fort Lisser,overlooking the lower Valsugana, the northern sector of the Grappa Massif and the Piana di Marcesina in the north-east of the Plateau.

In this strategic point you can enjoy a boundless view towards the Dolomite chains: from Lagorai to the Pale di S. Martino, passing through the Feltrine Peaks, and the villages of the valleys below.

Every historical moment, and not just the Great War, has left strong marks, which we will discover together step by step.

Reservations are required.

Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.

DIFFICULTY: We assign a difficulty 4 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)

The route develops between mountain trails and dirt roads, crosses beech forests and pasture areas. The uphill difference is less than 350 m, there are no exposed sections.

TO TAKE WITH you: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, sunglasses, cap, gloves, PACKED LUNCH.

COST: 15€, for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years old. Possible rental of snowshoes and sticks: 10€ per person.
