Guided walk on the sites of the Great War
Sunday 19 January 2020 from 9.30am to 1pm
META: Mount Zovetto -Cesuna - Plateau of the Seven Municipalities (VI)
Description
Starting from the old Railway Station of Cesuna and crossing gentle slopes dedicated to the pasture, we arrive on the summit of Mount Zovetto. The paths will take us between small forests of fir, beech and hazel where many animals find shelter from man and their predators, but leaving on the white cover the signs of their passage or their presence. From the ridge of the mountain we will enjoy postcard views of Asiago and much of the Plateau. The guided excursion then continues among the territories that were interested in the Great War, as evidenced by the monuments, meadows riddled with artillery, trenches and cemeteries.
