Historical-naturalistic guided snowshoeing with Asiago Guide
Sunday 7 December 2020 from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm
DESTINATION: Mount Longara - Asiago Plateau and the Seven Municipalities (VI)
Pope Wojtila, during a helicopter ride, wanted to stop in these alpine pastures to contemplate our mountains and our history, immersed in the peace of these places.
The snowshoeing will be the real opportunity to enjoy views of rare beauty,listen to the noises of the woods, to know what a Malga really is, but also to know the history of these places that witnessed helplessly the cruel clashes between the armies during the Great War of which you can see the signs even under the snow.
Reservations are required.
Mandatory personal equipment of mask and disinfectant gel.
DIFFICULTY: We assign a difficulty 3 on a scale from 1 (very easy) to 5 (challenging)
The path is ring, does not present particular technical difficulties and there are no exposed sections. It develops between mountain trails and dirt roads. The uphill difference is less than 300 m, the length does not exceed 7 km.
TO TAKE WITH you: mountain boots, layered clothing suitable for the mountain climate, waterproof jacket, water for the duration of the excursion (at least 1 liter), a small snack such as dried fruit, cap, gloves.
COST: 15€, for the guided excursion. 5€ for children under 15 years old.
Possible rental of snowshoes and sticks: 10€ per person.
MEETING POINT: at 9.30 am at piazzale degli Eroi 1, 36012 Asiago (VI) (c/o Asiago Shrine).
Movement by own vehicle on paved road.
